EQSPRO is leased not sold, we charge a modest implementation fee which covers database set-up & user training. EQSPRO is licensed Software as a Service, the amount you pay monthly depends on the number of transactions processed. Please contact us for current rates.
2. Is EQSPRO in the cloud or does it require a company server?
Yes it is in the cloud, if opting for cloud access there is an additional cloud licensing fee charged monthly per user and gives faster access, essential if your internet speed is slow. EQSPRO does not require a company server, it could be installed on a company server as an alternative to the cloud or EQSPRO may be installed either locally (PC’s or Laptops).
3. How many users can access at once?
An unlimited number of users may access and update the system concurrently.
4. I travel a lot, can I install it on my laptop?
Yes, EQSPRO can be installed on PC’s including laptops.
5. I'm not very 'good with technology' is it user-friendly?
EQSPRO is built using a familiar windows interface, its use is intuitive. Speed-IT also provides a step by step user guide with screenshots for standard features, special procedures and reports. There is also a ‘Knowledge article’ section on our helpdesk.
6. What training is included?
An on-site training course is provided for new users as part of a standard implementation. Each new company is also given a ‘TEST Environment’ which is a replica of their real database, users are set tasks to complete in TEST as part of training.

There is no separate charge for user support, new and general user support is included in the agreed monthly fee. As part of the initial training new users are set up on the Speed-IT help desk. Our help desk is a ticket support system, we aim to respond to all support tickets within four hours during our working day, over 85% of tickets are resolved within a day.
8. I do a lot of modifications – how does EQSPRO track these?
Unit types are unlimited – you can create categories for containers with specific standard modifications or add accessory items to containers as they are sold. A container split feature will divide all purchase & misc costs associated with a single unit into two units.
9. We deliver most of the containers we sell, can I include transport on the sales invoice?
Yes, a transport charge may be added to some or all of the containers invoiced on a sales invoice.
10. Can I charge or credit transportation fees separately from the container sale if a customer changes their mind after invoicing?
Yes, in addition to Sales Invoices EQSPRO also gives users the ability to adjust invoices with misc. invoices and credits as necessary.
11. What about Tax?
EQSPRO has a tax table, users can set up an unlimited number of tax brackets. All contact records have a tax rate, which is defaulted onto transactions. The user can add or exclude sales tax when creating a sales invoice or setting up a rental booking. If a country’s standard tax rate changes the system administrator can change the tax table. All contact records will be automatically updated and future transactions will use the new rate, all historical (printed) invoices will retain the original rate charged.
12. We often pay third party truckers to collect containers, can these costs be recorded?
Yes, as part of database set-up Speed-IT will enter some standard ‘cost types’ and more may be added – i.e. transport, repainting, repairs etc. Transport charges can be added to a purchase order, sales invoice, rental booking or depot site move generating a delivery accrual against each unit.
13. I renumber all my containers prior to selling them, is this traceable in EQSPRO?
Yes, all inventory can be stored in EQSPRO by both the original container number and the ‘re-numbered’ unit number.
14. I regularly purchase from steamship lines who sell their stock directly from the port docks 'first out of stack.' How can I track the status of my order with EQSPRO?
When setting up a purchase order the container location, size, type, quantity and cost can be entered and sent to the supplier. The purchase order can be updated as containers are received, enabling order status and unit balance to be accessed at a glance.
15. One of my suppliers delivers directly to my yard each month. Can we enter the container numbers into EQSPRO in advance?
Yes, acquisitions can be entered as ‘on order’ and their status updated to ‘available’ when received. The stock report will differentiate between ‘available’ and ‘on order’ containers.
16. I store some stock in a large depot where I must sell inventory on a 'first out of stack' basis, how does EQSPRO handle this?
Container sales can be invoiced by quantity, size and type i.e. 5×40’HC and the container numbers added after release once collected.
17. I store stock at third party locations, they charge gate fees and daily storage. Can EQSPRO help me check their invoice is correct?
Yes, depot contracts can be set up for an unlimited number of third party storage facilities, recording the agreed gate in/out costs and storage rates. System users can run ‘storage accruals’ to generate a list of accruals per depot to be validated against the depot storage invoice upon receipt.
18. My container rental fleet is a mix of our own stock and units owned by other parties which we have leased and in turn lease on to our customers. Is it possible to distinguish these boxes in EQSPRO?
Yes, at the unit level, each piece of equipment is either ‘owned’ or ‘managed’.
19. I pay monthly rental for units owned by other parties which we have leased and in turn lease on to our customers. Is it possible to track and verify the incoming rental costs?
Yes, it is possible to record a daily rate (handling, free days etc) and for EQSPRO to calculate the monthly charges due to each supplier down to the unit level.
